Key Responsibilities

Oversee the operation of the site in a manner that upholds the esteemed standards associated with Joseph Gallagher Ltd.

Maximize the financial performance of the project.

Develop procurement timelines and collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that the site is adequately equipped to fulfill its tasks.

Continuously monitor forecasts, keeping the team updated on projections and adjustments, while meticulously managing the project scope to account for unforeseen construction activities or resources, ensuring funds are reserved for such instances.

Communicate risks and opportunities to the senior management team.

Deliver the project according to the specified quality standards, ensuring the creation and execution of Project Plans, Risk Assessments, Inspection Test Plans, and waste management strategies, in accordance with company protocols.

Maintain comprehensive site diaries and records. Foster a competitive environment to drive down costs and challenge existing practices.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Proven experience in managing tunneling projects within highly regulated environments in the UK, with a focus on Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations.

Proficient in NEC3 Option A & C contracts and adept in change management.

Experienced in Design Management Programs and Risk Management, including the preparation of Cost Value Reports, cost control, forecasting, and value assessment.

Possess a Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

Hold a valid SMSTS certification.

Demonstrated ability to critically assess designs and resolve issues effectively.

Capable of managing and delivering a successful project with minimal oversight.
