About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join our team in Maidstone. As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the management and development of a client portfolio, ensuring their audit needs are met from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management and development of a portfolio of clients, ensuring their audit needs are met from planning to completion.
  • Demonstrate strong people management skills, including delegation, motivation, and support, to ensure the team's success.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, using your business network to support the firm's growth initiatives.
  • Ensure that the firm's quality control procedures and professional standards are consistently met.
  • Provide an efficient and proactive service to clients, anticipating their needs and addressing issues promptly.
  • Participate in tenders and proposals for new work, contributing to the growth and development of the firm.
  • Develop work from existing clients and participate in broader marketing and business development activities.
  • Focus on self-development and continuing professional education to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Consult with colleagues and Partners on technical and risk matters, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Support the team as a player while also working independently to drive results.

Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in audit and client management.
  • Experience in supporting the management and development of a client portfolio, with a focus on delivering high-quality audit services.
  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring colleagues, helping to develop the next generation of professionals.
  • Strong social skills and confidence in client interactions, with the ability to overcome challenges and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and the ability to follow processes within legislative guidelines.
  • A desire to stretch yourself and a hunger to succeed, with integrity and authenticity in all your dealings.
