About the Role:

The Depute Head Teacher will assist the Head Teacher in the overall management of the school, as part of a Management Team. This includes deputising for the Head Teacher in their absence and having responsibility for the leadership, good management, and strategic direction of colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of the curriculum and contribute to whole school initiatives, as appropriate.
  • Carry out the range of duties outlined in Annexe B of 'A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century'.

Larkhall Academy is a large secondary school with a roll of just under 1,000 pupils. The school has recently undergone an £m+ modernisation programme, creating high-quality additional support needs and primary and secondary provision in South Lanarkshire.

Requirements:

  • Fully Qualified (GTC) Secondary Teachers.
  • Registration with GTC Scotland, General Teaching Council (Scotland) Registration.
