Overview:
The organization is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to enhance their team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in logistics management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee collection and delivery operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
2. Manage financial aspects, including expenditure and profit & loss statements, while preparing reports and forecasts.
3. Collaborate with senior management to promote the interests and profitability of the organization.
4. Ensure compliance with FORS standards and develop contingency plans.
5. Supervise the operation and compliance of the ATF operation.
6. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure timely communication with clients.
7. Enhance communication practices across all levels of the organization.
8. Assist in refining procedures and practices to boost operational efficiency.
9. Manage document control for local processes and risk assessments.
10. Guide operational staff to uphold health and safety standards within the warehouse environment.
11. Ensure security protocols are strictly followed by operational personnel.
12. Regularly update senior management on operational events and progress.
13. Engage with customers to understand their needs and implement necessary procedural adjustments.
14. Support senior management in delivering exceptional customer service.
15. Monitor and manage driver and vehicle tachographs and infringements.
16. Control maintenance schedules for vehicles and equipment.
17. Oversee driver recruitment, training, and development.
18. Manage purchasing and cost control related to operational needs.
19. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
20. Investigate and report on accidents and near misses.
21. Provide training and mentorship to operational staff.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics management.
- Comprehensive understanding of logistics and freight forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, costs, and KPIs.
- Familiarity with aviation security regulations.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 7 AM to 5 PM with a 1-hour unpaid break, totaling 45 hours per week.
