Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Job Overview:

Our client, a leading Resin and Polymers manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their team in Standish, Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing Chemical Engineering projects, a PhD in Chemistry, and previous COMAH experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of project including design, procurement, planning, installation, and evaluation
  • Oversee new product development
  • Identify, plan, and manage resources, including liaising with external contractors
  • Identify and manage potential risks in the project
  • Deliver projects on time, to expected quality standards, and within budget
  • Contribute to the verification and signing off of designs
  • Write technical reports
  • Conduct material characterization

Requirements:

  • PhD qualified in Chemistry (Masters and Bachelor's degrees considered)
  • Demonstrable previous experience in the Chemical industry
  • Previous experience in Polymer Chemistry highly beneficial
  • Experience handling large-scale Engineering projects from cradle to grave
  • Familiarity with managing commercial aspects of Engineering projects
  • Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

Benefits:

  • Salary £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
  • Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
  • 33 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
