Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and committed Band 7 Nurse/ODP to oversee the Theatre Recovery Services.

We welcome applications from individuals with experience in pediatric theatre recovery, although this is not a mandatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be stationed at the Theatre Recovery Unit, which features 16 beds across two levels. This specialized unit is adept at providing care for both pediatric and adult patients.

Applicants should possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in operating theatre settings and demonstrate exceptional clinical skills. Strong leadership capabilities are essential, including the ability to guide a team towards a unified goal and foster innovation and sustainability. Collaboration and flexibility across various theatre suites will be necessary to meet the service demands of different departments.

Job Duties

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in theatre practice.
  • Degree-level education.
  • Experience as a Band 6 in a theatre recovery or critical care environment.
  • Completion of a mentorship course or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in perioperative practice.
  • Experience working with children.
