Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Electric Vehicle Sector

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Guildford. As a key member of our design team, you will lead the development of cutting-edge mechanical systems for electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative mechanical systems
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed models, drawings, and specifications
  • Oversee testing and validation of designs, troubleshooting issues and implementing design improvements
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the automotive or related industry
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD)
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools
  • Ability to manage projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to engineering challenges
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
