Job Summary

The High Voltage Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in the development of our renewable energy services, leveraging their technical expertise to extend our capabilities and drive business growth. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform electrical testing, commissioning, and repairs as required, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems on offshore platforms and wind turbines.
  2. Undertake stand-by and travel/work globally, both onshore/offshore as required, to support project delivery and client needs.
  3. Review project-specific procedures and apply subject matter expertise where applicable, generating sound and applicable procedures, reports, and templates within their capability.
  4. Provide technical support and guidance to onboard electrical technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  5. Oversee the installation process alongside Client Engineers/Representatives and technicians, conducting pre and post-testing steps of the submarine electrical power systems.
  6. Consider factors such as extreme temperatures, humidity, saltwater, and high winds when conducting High Voltage (VLF - Very Low Frequency) testing on the HV system.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and financial standards.
