Position Overview:

D R Newitt Recruitment is in search of a dedicated professional to assist with food cost analysis for production processes. This role involves preparing loading charts essential for delivery documentation and billing needs. The successful candidate will gather, present, and disseminate agreed-upon information while actively participating in the presentation process to ensure that all new menu specifications are accurately recorded.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Timely and professional collection, presentation, and distribution of all food-related information.
  • Develop precise cost breakdowns for food items in accordance with established specifications.
  • Maintain and update all costing data, specifications, and pricing information consistently.
  • Engage in presentation preparations, including pre-presentation cost assessments and specifications.
  • Document detailed notes to capture any modifications in recipes and adjustments in product weights.
  • Photograph agreed-upon meals for documentation purposes.
  • Create loading ratio grids to facilitate base delivery note setups.
  • Offer daily assistance utilizing airline account expertise and system reports for loading charts, specifications, and recipe methodologies.
  • Leverage customer systems to obtain and upload food loading and pricing data.

Qualifications:

  • Support procurement efforts through precise costing activities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in food costing practices.
  • Competent in computer applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Adaptable to various database systems, including proprietary platforms.
  • Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of pricing strategies and food cost metrics.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adhere to strict timelines, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy, employing a methodical and logical approach.
  • Willingness to adjust work hours as needed, particularly during menu presentations and client-driven timelines.
