Class 1 HGV Driver with Material Handling Expertise

About the Role

As a Class 1 HGV Driver at GXO Logistics, Inc., you'll be responsible for more than just transporting goods. You'll play a vital role in our customer's supply chain by delivering and collecting manual handling equipment across various locations.

Your Daily Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class 1 HGV to deliver and collect manual handling equipment for Toyota Material Handling.
  • Load and unload equipment using various types of MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
  • Maintain regular communication with your base location, providing updates and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Receive comprehensive training on the safe operation and handling of different types of MHE.

What We Look For in a Successful Candidate

  • A full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
  • A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • No more than 6 current penalty points on your driving licence.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • MHE licences are desirable but not essential (training will be provided).
