We are collaborating with a prominent technology firm to find a Financial Project Analyst.

This position is crucial for overseeing the financial dimensions of Technical Services and Projects, reporting directly to the Head of Project Controlling.

As a vital business collaborator, you will manage cost reporting and assist in the creation of new systems and processes to guarantee efficient cost collection and billing.


This role presents a distinctive opportunity to join a nuclear organization at the onset of a growth trajectory in their operations.

They function in a highly secure environment, necessitating SC level security clearance, which for a UK passport holder may take 3-4 months to obtain.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the financial business partner for Technical Services and Projects, spearheading cost reporting and system enhancements.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Commercial Manager with financial matters.
  • Revise financial forecasts, estimates to complete, and estimates at completion with contributions from the project team.
  • Evaluate and scrutinize the financial performance of projects.
  • Oversee the sales order and billing process.
  • Coordinate invoicing and cash flow with the client's finance department.
  • Ensure SAP workflows are upheld with the assistance of Group Finance.
  • Convert sales orders into project budgets.
  • Secure and manage data for client invoicing.
  • Administer Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): release WBS projects and budget in SAP.
  • Establish financial reporting in line with group standards.
  • Conduct monthly project closures and report to Group Finance.
  • Provide project Profit and Loss (P&L) statements in accordance with Corporate Finance guidelines.
  • Execute margin and gap analysis.
  • Monitor purchased services (hours via time tracking) and ensure accurate client billing.
  • Deliver financial impact assessments of identified risks to the Project Manager, in close collaboration with the Project Services Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline and a professional financial qualification, preferably CIMA.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a finance controlling capacity, ideally in a project context.
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards and Companies Act regulations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and persuasive skills.
  • Effective team player with the capability to influence across multifunctional and multicultural teams.
  • Proactive and confident in recognizing and implementing improvements.
  • Willingness to travel to various company locations as required.

Benefits:
Competitive salary up to £65,000
