Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Retain Healthcare. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in residential care settings.
About the Role:As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation. You will also take handover of residents and tasks from the previous shift, allocate staff to residents based on their needs and skills, and administer medications accurately and safely.
You will lead and mentor staff members, liaise with healthcare professionals, and manage any emergencies that arise on the day. You will also check that all staff are on track with care interventions, fluid charts, and other tasks, and give handover to the next shift.
About You:To be successful in this role, you will need relevant qualifications and training or a willingness to obtain them. You will also require a minimum of 6 months experience in a care home setting, preferably as a Senior Care Assistant. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as a compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
