Job Description:The Role:
The Design Estimator Fire Detection & Security Systems will be responsible for:
- Designing, supplying, installing, commissioning, and maintaining fire, suppression, voice, security, and integrated systems.
- Working with main contractors, M&E contractors, and end-users to deliver projects.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and enquiries.
- Providing technical support to the sales team with surveys, client meetings, and pre- and post-tender meetings.
- Liaising with clients to discuss the technicalities of their requirements.
- Building and developing relationships with clients predominantly over the telephone.
- Attending occasional client meetings and site surveys as required.
- Managing project order values ranging from £10,000 to £1,000,000.
Requirements:
- Design and quotation experience in the fire and security market sector.
- Sound knowledge of various systems, including Fire Alarm & Fire Detection, EVC Systems, Evacuation Alert Systems, PAVA, Air Sampling, Atex & IS Systems, Gas Suppression, Access Control, CCTV, Intruder, PA Systems.
- Confidence and excellent telephone manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A stable career background.
- Attention to detail and methodical organizational skills.
