Security Officer

ABM UK is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Parkway Shopping Centre in Newbury. As a leading provider of facility services, we pride ourselves on delivering award-winning solutions tailored to our clients' unique needs.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorized individuals enter
- Conduct regular patrols to deter vandalism, theft, and other security threats
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate action and reporting to relevant authorities
- Enforce security procedures and regulations, including ID checks and bag searches if necessary
- Monitor security systems, such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems, for unusual activity or breaches
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and directions
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Ability to handle stressful and emergency situations calmly and professionally
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
- Physical fitness and stamina for regular patrols and physical security tasks
- Valid SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor License
