About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Manager to join our team at Zachary Daniels. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing business plans to drive growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop bi-annual business plans to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth
  • Deliver product presentations, business proposals, and ad plans to customers on time, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery
  • Understand customer timelines and proactively provide customers with all necessary information and materials
  • Work with the support team to develop forecasts and ensure accurate sales projections
  • Timely and effective review of actual performance to ensure goals are achieved
  • Manage customer-specific budgets and update salesforce to ensure seamless data management
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers to build strong relationships and drive sales growth
  • Work proactively and effectively with team members to deliver best possible customer service
  • Provide feedback and coaching to account management team members to ensure continuous improvement
  • Develop innovative sales and marketing-led account plans to maximize business performance within each account
  • Coordinate trade marketing and marketing activity within accounts to ensure delivery of planned volume, distribution, and profit targets
  • Maximize account profitability through strategic business planning and negotiation
  • Work closely with accounts to gain joint agreement on objectives for sales growth while managing each account's selection process
  • Negotiate at senior level to ensure the business maximizes the advantage of long-term supply agreements and optimizes all elements of the marketing mix
  • Accurate forecasting and working closely with the planning team to ensure stock is delivered to accounts as required
  • Flexibility regarding accounts managed to ensure adaptability and responsiveness to customer needs
  • Actively work as part of a team to create a solution-oriented culture, leading by example
  • Maintain and further develop strong commercial and personal relationships between you and your account base to ensure you remain a preferred supplier
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recent experience working as a National Account Manager for another consumer goods business
  • Strong commercial and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and circumstances
