Our esteemed client, a reputable business in the Southampton area, is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping, including:

  • Sales Ledger Duties: Invoicing, credit control, and managing sales transactions.
  • Purchase Ledger Management: Entering invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Banking and Reconciliations: Managing company bank accounts, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial records.
  • VAT Returns and Compliance: Preparing and submitting VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Opportunity for Growth: Undertaking monthly management accounts, providing valuable insights into the company's financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with Xero software and be able to work independently. The company offers a flexible working arrangement, with the option to work 20-24 hours per week. This could be spread across 3-4 days, depending on the candidate's preference.

The successful candidate will be a skilled bookkeeper with excellent organizational and communication skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide high-quality financial support to the company.
