Verisk Maplecroft is seeking a skilled Junior Frontend Developer to join their Front End development team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating and supporting the development of client-facing features and applications that form our product offerings.

About the Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role

  • Work collaboratively with the development team to gather, refine, and deliver user-focused improvements.
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets user requirements.
  • Peer review other developers' work in a thorough and constructive manner.
  • Work closely with other Developers, Project Owners, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or a proven track record in commercial software development.
  • A good understanding of HTML and CSS fundamentals.
  • Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills.
  • Some familiarity with Angular (or similar) framework, RxJS, and reactive-style programming.
  • Experience in consuming REST APIs.
  • Understanding of Git and working collaboratively on team-level code bases.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with NgRx, Redux, or similar state management approaches.
  • Experience with testing, particularly unit and integration testing with Jest or similar.
  • e2e and/or BDD testing.
  • Industry experience in working with Agile software development practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying Web Security best practices.
  • Python/Django.
  • AWS.
  • Docker/Containerization.
  • CI/CD pipeline configuration.
