Job Summary:

Brightwork recruitment is seeking an experienced multi skilled technician to join our client based in Blantyre. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating production lines as part of a team, responding to specific requests for basic engineering, repairs and maintenance throughout the Blantyre facility, and managing 3rd party suppliers for complex engineering tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate production lines as part of a team to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Respond to specific requests for basic engineering, repairs and maintenance throughout the Blantyre facility.
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers for complex engineering tasks to minimize production line downtime.
  • Ensure full documentation and records are maintained in respect of maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Recommend appropriate courses of action for line improvements and manage the implementation of new equipment in conjunction with suppliers and manufacturers.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical and Electrical engineering experience.
  • Basic welding qualifications and experience.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Full driving license.
