Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team at Buildspace Group, a leading provider of commercial fit-out services in the UK. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in determining the project's cost, ensuring that bids are competitive and financially viable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project budgets based on estimates and provide cost information to project managers and clients.
  • Prepare and submit competitive bids and tenders for fit-out projects, taking into account the client's requirements and our company's goals.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible deals, ensuring that our company's interests are protected.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project costs and timelines, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Suggest alternative materials or methods that can achieve cost savings, while maintaining the quality of the project.
  • Monitor project costs against estimates and budgets, identifying any variances and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, tender submissions, and correspondence with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that all relevant information is up-to-date and easily accessible.

Qualifications:

  • RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
  • CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building)
  • AACE International (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering)
  • CSCS Card
