Children's Social Worker Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children in Need Social Worker to join our dynamic team at Wakefield Council.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify their needs and develop effective care plans.
- Develop and implement interventions to support children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Manage a caseload of children in need, providing regular updates and progress reports.
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams to provide holistic support and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
- Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Proven experience working with children and families, ideally within a Children in Need context.
- Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external agencies, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Competitive rate of £35 per hour.
