Job Description

TPF Recruitment is delighted to represent a distinguished chartered accountancy firm based in the South East. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant for a dynamic general practice role that encompasses financial management, taxation, bookkeeping, and VAT.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Compiling and preparing financial reports for a diverse client base.
  • Financial Analysis: Assisting in the production of financial analysis and management accounts.
  • Taxation: Managing personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT returns.
  • Bookkeeping: Performing general bookkeeping duties using software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
  • Mentoring: Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Studying towards or holding ACCA/ACA qualification, or qualified by experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in a UK accountancy practice, with substantial experience in preparing financial reports, tax returns, and managing responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior staff.
Benefits:
  • Salary: £40,000 - £46,000, dependent on experience and qualifications, negotiable.
  • Holidays: 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
