About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sheltered Scheme Cleaner at North Northamptonshire Council.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of communal areas within our sheltered housing schemes, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain communal areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming as required
  • Empty and clean bins and recycling facilities
  • Perform general maintenance tasks as directed by the Scheme Manager
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the Scheme Manager

Requirements

  • Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance roles, preferably in a non-domestic setting
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings and afternoons
