Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at AmcoGiffen. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for providing professional advice and guidance to ensure the safe execution of contract works. You will act as the focal point for all issues relating to the management of Health and Safety and contribute to the preparation of Project Health and Safety Plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide informed advice, guidance, and support on health, safety, and welfare matters to all parties.
- Ensure the implementation of agreed solutions to achieve compliance with Health and Safety Legislation.
- Contribute to the preparation of Project Health and Safety Plans and ensure compliance with their requirements.
- Provide detailed H&S input into all stages of the project process from initial pre-qualification to contract completion to ensure that projects are executed in a safe manner.
- Undertake Site Safety Inspections.
- Ensure that corrective actions arising from Site Safety Inspections are effectively addressed and closed out and that opportunities for the continuous improvement of safe working practices are fully exploited.
- Liaise with Client Safety Representatives and Regulatory authorities on all Health and Safety issues.
- Prevent the adoption of unsafe working practices.
- Undertake Accident and Incident Reporting and Accident Investigation.
- Monitor and report upon Health and Safety Performance in accordance with management reporting requirements, including the identification of areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Health and Safety – Degree/Diploma/HNC/HND.
- Experience working in a rail contracting environment.
- Minimum of Tech/Grad Membership with IOSH.
- Full UK driving license.
