About J Matthews Legal

We are a leading international player in the media, sports and entertainment sector, seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our rapidly expanding legal team.

Role Overview

This is a brand new position, offering a richly diverse and extremely varied role, working on a wide range of media-focused and wider commercial matters. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will report directly into the General Counsel and have the opportunity to undertake elements of WFH/remote/flexible working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to the business on a wide range of media-focused and wider commercial matters.
  • Work closely with the General Counsel and other members of the legal team to deliver high-quality legal services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and colleagues.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, and provide guidance on compliance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified Lawyer with significant prior experience working within the media industry, with in excess of 5 years' PQE. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
