About the Role

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of advanced video display and processing systems. You will work closely with our client's proprietary A/V technology, contributing to the creation of innovative products for professional and broadcast applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced video display and processing systems using Embedded Linux and open-source software.
  • Work with C programming language to create efficient and reliable software solutions.
  • Implement multi-threading and multitasking applications to ensure seamless system performance.
  • Develop and debug software and firmware to meet the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Embedded Linux and open-source software development.
  • Strong knowledge of C programming language and its applications.
  • Experience with multi-threading and multitasking applications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Source Code Control systems (e.g., SVN/Git).

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in Agile scrum development environments.
  • Knowledge of GNU toolchain and its applications.
  • Experience with ARM SOCs and their implementation.
  • Experience with human interface device design and implementation.
  • Experience with Board Support Packages (BSP) and configuration tools (Yocto, Buildroot, etc).
  • Experience with networking socket API and IPv4, IPv6, REST protocols (TCP, UDP).
  • Experience with coding in RTOS environments.
  • Knowledge of Digital Video Standards (HDMI, HDCP, SDI, codecs, audio) and their implementation.
