Job Title: Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing cash flows and budgets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Establish project budgets and cost codes for accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficient project delivery.
• Review main contracts and subcontract terms to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
• Monitor and recharge shared costs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Procure subcontract packages and manage relationships with subcontractors.
• Report costs and forecast project completion dates to stakeholders.
• Administer contracts and handle delays or disputes in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage staff resources and subcontract issues to ensure project success.
• Implement variation mechanisms to protect the company's commercial interests.
• Forecast cash flow and liaise with procurement teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Represent the company at progress meetings and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working with building contractors and a strong understanding of the construction industry.
• Knowledge of the JCT D&B suite of contracts and ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Understanding of surveying and contractual procedures, including risk management and dispute resolution.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, including building codes and regulations.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in computer software and systems, including project management tools and financial software.
