About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join our team at Bramfield House School, a specialist educational needs school for boys aged 7-16. As a KS3 English Teacher with SENCO responsibilities, you will play a vital role in delivering inclusive and responsive teaching and learning within the curriculum area of English.

As a member of our close-knit team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students. You will work closely with the SENCO to develop and implement literacy interventions that raise standards of literacy for your classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in English, ensuring equality of opportunity for all students.
  • Plan and prepare long-term and medium-term plans, taking into account the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Teach, according to individual educational needs, the students assigned to you, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by students in school and elsewhere.
