Systems Engineer - Digital Architecture

We are FORSEVEN, a pioneering company in the electric vehicle industry, dedicated to transforming the transportation landscape through innovative technology and engineering practices. We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer - Digital Architecture to join our Engineering Team.

This role will be based in our offices in Leamington Spa, offering you the opportunity to collaborate with visionary minds in the automotive field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct systems engineering for our current range of electric vehicles, focusing on software architectures, functions distribution, and vehicle networks.
  • Develop a model-based understanding of systems architecture and the interactions between different vehicle systems to enhance user experience.
  • Take ownership of vehicle networks and data signals, ensuring their definition and maintenance meet performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with key technology partners to understand communication systems in automotive zonal architectures.
  • Work closely with the Architectures Management team to align solutions with overall vehicle architecture.
  • Support stakeholders by defining data interfaces, functions distribution, OTA updates integration requirements, etc.
  • Analyze engineering design artifacts and system logs to address issues and work on timely solutions.
  • Manage engineering changes and issues throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Experience in systems engineering within automotive, robotics, aerospace, or e-mobility engineering environments.
  • Understanding of software and electrical architectures, network technologies, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of RTOS and GPOS, as well as experience with model-based systems engineering methods.
  • Experience with test and validation strategies, project engineering with suppliers, and lean/agile frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Functional Safety and Cybersecurity standards.
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
  • A degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Full driving license and eligibility to work in the UK.
