Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Babcock LGE in Rosyth. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of large-scale process-engineering themed projects for our key markets, including marine and offshore liquefied gas transportation/storage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with other disciplines to ensure efficient working practices and achieve project objectives.
  • Set up and maintain project administration, including project plans and risk management.
  • Apply project management and risk planning principles to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Record and collect progress of tasks and activities, and update project plans accordingly.
  • Submit project deliverables on schedule and record mitigating circumstances in the event of disruption or delay.
  • Prepare technical specifications and information to enable timely placement of purchase orders.
  • Target expediting and liaison with key suppliers to ensure full visibility of supplier-related issues.
  • Report regularly to the project manager on progress, potential problems, and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Technical competence for the responsibilities listed above.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead tasks and work to tight timescales.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
