About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Projects Team at Alfa Laval UK&I. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for all electrical aspects of multiple customer projects, working on varied engineering requirements and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Progress electrical elements of projects from order/contract placement to design, purchasing, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
  • Work on customer sites throughout the UK as part of the commissioning process, completing wiring modifications and establishing communications between our equipment and the customer's PLC.
  • Engage with other teams internally and provide timely updates to the Project Manager.
  • Support and advise during the project bid phase to ensure customer specifications and technical constraints are adhered to or deviations are highlighted when quoting.
  • Produce electrical documentation packages to a high standard, including equipment schedules, control philosophies, control panel documentation, cable schedules, and datasheets.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role, with a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and electrical engineering principles.
  • Ability to read and modify electrical schematics, with a good knowledge of general electrical engineering principles.
  • Autonomous, motivated, and agile, with a customer-focused approach to projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to network and generate internal relationships to ensure customer query fulfillment.
  • Commercial awareness within a projects environment, with the ability to provide concise updates to peers and management.
