About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in CAMHS, Powys. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive and accessible mental health service to referred individuals, including assessments, interventions, and support.
  • Work in partnership with individuals, families, and other professionals to identify and address mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each individual.
  • Collaborate with other teams and services to ensure seamless care and support for children and young people.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working with children, young people, and families, including those with complex mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Knowledge of child development, mental health theories, and evidence-based interventions.
Desirable
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related field, such as psychology or social work.
  • Experience of working in a CAMHS setting, including assessment, intervention, and support.
  • Knowledge of Welsh language and culture, with the ability to communicate effectively with Welsh-speaking individuals and families.
