We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Loan Documentation and Securities team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of loan documentation and securities strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage lending documentation for contracts and post-contract needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal credit approval conditions.
- Cultivate professional relationships with borrowers, agents, and third parties to address relevant inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Establish and maintain lending documentation, security management, and banking system administration procedures, ensuring alignment with business development and risk management objectives.
- Oversee staff handling loan documentation and banking system administration, providing comprehensive training and feedback to ensure high-quality performance.
- Collaborate with business development and risk management to align loan documentation with credit approval conditions and client terms, ensuring clear communication of loan documentation processes to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to regulations, standards, and codes while maintaining integrity, implementing risk control guidelines to identify, assess, report, mitigate, and monitor risks.
- Participate in the Executive Committee as outlined in the Terms of Reference, contributing to the development of firm strategies and policies aligned with Consumer Duty and Treat Customers Fairly obligations.
- Educated to Bachelor undergraduate degree level or higher.
- Previous banking experience is essential, ideally gained within retail banking.
- At least 10 years experience in the legal field, or experience drafting lending documentation.
- Qualified lawyer highly desirable.
- Strong experience on LMA documentation and commercial lending, and familiarity with LMA primary and secondary documentation.
- Previous experience managing a team.
