Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

  • Process and maintain accurate financial records, including purchase ledger entries, invoices, and supplier statements
  • Participate in the month-end process, ensuring prepayments are booked and discrepancies are investigated and resolved
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations and weekly payment runs to suppliers
  • Conduct key control account reconciliations and complete monthly subledger aging reviews
  • Support the finance team with various administrative tasks and provide audit information for internal and external auditors
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by management and reconcile and coordinate payment of travel expenses
  • Ensure timely completion of documents and data entry, maintaining accurate spreadsheets and system data

Performance Metrics

  • Meet all Sonoco reporting deadlines and maintain accurate accounting postings
  • Ensure all system data and spreadsheets are up-to-date and accurate
