Electrical Technical Lead Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Lead to join our team at a cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Greater Manchester. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical equipment and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the maintenance, service, repair, and upgrade of all electrical equipment necessary for manufacturing operations
  • Ensure the safety of staff and contractors, while maintaining the continuity of our operations
  • Manage electrical operation of all site equipment and services, including contractor selection and management
  • Produce engineering documentation, including permits to work, risk assessments, purchase orders, training documentation, and engineering drawings/manuals
  • Conduct LOTO training for the maintenance team, including refreshers and auditing
  • Purchase electrical equipment, including HV, LV, VSD, and PLC
  • Route Cause Analysis, breakdown investigation, and improvement initiatives
  • Provide ongoing technical support and training to electrical engineers
Requirements:
  • Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, L3 qualification HNC/HND
  • Thorough understanding of electrical equipment and power supply, from transformers to substations down to component level
  • HV Qualification AP15 preferred - training can be provided
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical equipment and power supply
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions
  • Highly organised, structured, and flexible to address critical issues
  • Excellent communication skills with peers and management
  • Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office tools
