Job Opportunity: Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT - TLR's Available

EDEX is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT to join our team. As a key member of our Humanities Department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

About the Role

This is a full-time and permanent position, commencing in January 2025. You will be working in a supportive and collaborative environment, alongside a team of experienced and young Humanities Teachers. Our school has a strong focus on student progress and achievement, and we are committed to providing our students with a fun and creative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess and track student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning decisions
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong academic record, including a degree, A Levels, and GCSEs
  • Ability to meet the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
