Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage externally funded programmes to ensure delivery against regeneration objectives and procedures
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of stakeholders to achieve project goals
  • Tender for and manage consultants to ensure projects are supported by a professional and cost-effective team, including securing planning and consents
  • Lead client-side liaison with architects and contractors
  • Negotiate contracts in partnership with the legal and property teams and other external experts as needed
  • Monitor onsite works and liaise with contractors
  • Contribute to writing and submitting funding bids to support regeneration programme delivery
  • Maintain concise financial records and risk registers for projects, including cash flows

Requirements:

  • Programme management experience, particularly in heritage and conservation
  • Experience working in a similar role, project managing property development projects and/or capital regeneration schemes
  • Effective delivery of capital and revenue elements of projects involving commercial buildings, town centre, and historic buildings restoration and regeneration
  • Delivering external funding bids
  • Experience in town centre management and community/stakeholder engagement
  • Developing cooperative working relationships with internal and external officers and partners, including elected members and public bodies to support service objectives
  • Full current driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend working
