About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our team at Fusion People Ltd. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and guidance on building design, project management, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce plans, sections, and detail drawings for construction using AutoCAD for refurbishments, extensions, planned maintenance, and new build projects.
  • Prepare and submit planning, building regulation, and listed building applications, schedules of work, and specifications using NBS software.
  • Coordinate deliverables and work collaboratively with other disciplines, including Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and CDM Advisors.
  • Attend site meetings, carry out inspections and surveys when required, and complete H&S risk assessments to meet current CDM regulation requirements.
  • Prepare building and condition survey reports, investigate and analyze building defects to develop solutions to building failures, and prepare feasibility studies.
  • Provide advice on H&S issues throughout the design and construction period of projects, taking into account the Construction Design and Management Regulations.
  • Prepare applications for statutory approval, including Planning and Building Control applications, and advise on property legislation and building regulations.
Requirements
  • RICS accredited Building Surveying degree (ideally working towards full RICS membership via APC pathway).
  • Proficient in MS Office, Autodesk AutoCAD, and NBS software.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical ability and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
