Job Description

The role will involve working in the global security team at Harrington Starr, contributing to the development of effective security controls.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the in-house security operations team to drive world-class threat detection and incident response.
  • Designing and implementing effective detection use cases within the chosen SIEM, minimizing false positives and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Utilizing online resources and threat intelligence to enhance the SOC's abilities to detect and respond to cyber-attacks.
  • Analyzing telemetry data from the environment to build and improve detection capabilities.
  • Testing and validating existing and new detection use cases.
  • Participating in security incidents and investigations, providing expert analysis and recommendations.



Key skills required for the role:

  • Experience with SIEM administration, preferably with Splunk, but other SIEM tools are also considered.
  • Broad technical information security knowledge, including networking, malware analysis, incident response, and security architecture.
  • Knowledge of information security protection, detection, and authentication systems.
  • Understanding of tools, techniques, and procedures used by attackers to compromise organizations, ideally from direct experience.
  • Basic Python and AWS experience.
