This role involves supporting our site with routine maintenance and preventative repairs to ensure our manufacturing teams meet their key performance indicators.

  • Competitive salary: £938 per week
  • Rotating shifts (4 on 4 off)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and repairing mechanical or electrical failures
  • Documenting engineering processes, parts used and discarded, repairs done, and the causes of each failure accurately and timely
  • Logging all repair time
  • Keeping engineering tools such as manuals, safety protocols, parts, and work tools up to date
  • Communicating with manufacturing about work time, fault repairs, and downtime, working to minimize wait time and maximize solution efficiency
  • Providing excellent customer service to the manufacturing teams through the management of the engineering team
  • Adhering closely to repair schedules
  • Performing routine maintenance and preventative repairs on existing systems
  • Ensuring all work is done to proper risk management procedure standards
  • Supporting projects in line with the business needs
  • Conducting testing on existing systems and new parts and materials

Requirements:

  • A relevant engineering qualification or previous time served
  • Preferably dual skilled (Mechanical/Electrical)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Previous experience of working to deadlines or in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using SAP (desirable)
  • Competent IT skills
