Position Overview

HFG Insurance Recruitment is collaborating with a dynamic insurer in the London market to identify a new Financial Planning and Analysis Lead. In this pivotal position, you will report directly to the Head of FP&A and play an integral role within the FP&A team, overseeing the comprehensive business and financial planning, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation of Board, Executive, and Committee documentation, providing insightful analysis that clearly articulates variances and issues to senior stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary Finance liaison for all business planning initiatives, coordinating with various departments to gather model inputs, including reserving, reinsurance, underwriting, finance, and expenses, while ensuring effective challenge where necessary.
  • Oversee the quarterly reforecasts, Lloyd's SBD and SBF, and business budgets with a long-term perspective, analyzing both Year of Account and Current Year at the Syndicate, class, and product levels.
  • Collaborate with the business to develop change project business cases, assisting key decision-makers in prioritizing opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all organizational levels.
  • Facilitate informed decision-making by providing stakeholders with timely, detailed, and meaningful insights into business performance.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) with recent experience in a multi-line insurance environment. A solid understanding of the commercial drivers within a non-life insurance business and familiarity with the intricacies of Lloyd's accounting processes are essential. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels are crucial for success in this role.
