About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Norwegian Games Tester to join our team at Universally Speaking. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality games and applications are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing of games and applications to identify linguistic bugs and errors
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure localization quality assurance effectively tests and supports all features of the project
  • Develop and execute test cases throughout the project life cycle, including document testing practices, LQA process, and reporting methods
  • Participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure seamless integration of localization quality assurance
  • Continuously improve and refine LQA workflow and techniques to ensure optimal results
Requirements
  • Expert-level proficiency in Norwegian language
  • Strong written and spoken English skills
  • Passion for video games and gaming industry
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, database handling, and record keeping
  • Right to work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading
  • Working knowledge of software tools used for LQA testing, including test case management and text editing tools
  • Experience with CAT tools, such as MemoQ
  • Knowledge of video game industry trends and developments
  • Bachelor's degree in linguistics or related field
