We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner to join our team on a locum basis at a prison facility in the UK. This position provides a unique opportunity to deliver essential primary care services within a challenging and impactful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and diagnostic assessments of inmates.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including the management of chronic conditions and acute medical issues.
- Provide direct medical care, including medication management, minor surgical procedures, and patient education.
- Offer expert advice and support to prison healthcare teams and staff regarding general medical care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- GMC registration with current inclusion on the GMC Register.
- Recent experience in a similar role, preferably within a prison or forensic setting.
- Up-to-date training and competencies related to general practice.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK, or appropriate visa documentation if not a UK citizen.
- Public Indemnity Insurance.
