The role is Monday to Friday, day shifts, and plays a key part in providing effective maintenance planning across the engineering and maintenance teams.


Position Overview:


As an Engineering Planner, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment and facilities.

Your role is crucial in reducing downtime, improving productivity, and ensuring both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and on time.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for all equipment to ensure minimal disruptions to production.
Organise preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities in line with production schedules.
Plan and prioritise work orders based on urgency, resources, and production requirements.
Ensure sufficient maintenance cover is available to maintain optimal production performance.

Work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure necessary tools, spare parts, and manpower are available for planned maintenance.

Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to schedule outsourced maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and deadlines.
Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log and track maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.

Analyse maintenance performance data and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment reliability.

Recommend improvements to maintenance processes to reduce equipment breakdowns and enhance efficiency.
Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, certifications, and audits related to equipment and facilities.
Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures, implementing long-term solutions to improve reliability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, improve equipment uptime, and reduce costs

Requirements:
Proven experience in a manufacturing or similar environment, with a background in maintenance or engineering planning.
A relevant qualification in engineering or project management is preferred.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Proficiency in using CMMS or similar maintenance planning software.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Analytical mindset with experience in making data-driven decisions
