We take pride in our real-time safeguarding and clinical escalation procedures, ensuring that our support is both relevant and engaging.

We are seeking a Clinical Director who can combine their clinical expertise with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced scaling environment. As Clinical Director, you will lead our day-to-day clinical operations and provide strategic clinical oversight across the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Operations and Governance:
    • Lead the clinical operations of the company, ensuring compliance with relevant UK policies, guidelines, and standards, as well as international standards.
    • Manage a team of 24/7 clinical moderators, ensuring the highest level of support for our users.
    • Develop and implement incident reporting and escalation procedures for at-risk users across our platforms.
    • Collaborate with our content team to identify and remove harmful content, while supporting our users.
    • Develop user support pathways for individuals with higher levels of need or risk.
    • Mitigate and manage clinical risk across the organization.
  • Clinical Leadership:
    • Advise on clinical considerations for product development and process improvements across the organization.
    • Represent the clinical function on project teams, exploring new verticals, markets, and commercial opportunities.
    • Drive our impact and efficacy work, ensuring we remain at the forefront of best practice and innovation.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of peer support as an intervention.
    • Support the sales and customer success function in communicating our clinical practices and support on external presentations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in a clinical role.
  • Masters-level (or higher) clinical qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent level of managerial experience.
  • Knowledge of evolving relevant legislation and regulatory systems for mental health, safeguarding, and online safety, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • A desire to drive results and ability to get things done while maintaining quality.
  • Comfortable working in an iterative, technology-driven global team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in young people's services, safeguarding, and related procedures is desirable.
  • Ability to work out of our Bristol office (this is not a remote role).
