We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Team Leader to join our dynamic Logistics Operations team in Woking. As a Logistics Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics functions, working closely with various departments to achieve our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the delivery of materials to production lines, ensuring timely and accurate delivery in line with production requirements, supplier lead times, and warehousing capacities.
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize stockouts and optimize warehouse capacity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Warehouse, Quality, and Expediter teams, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and waste reduction.
- Ensure all inbound freight is properly managed and accounted for, and that parts are issued to production lines on time.
- Proven track record of delivering improved operational performance in challenging conditions, utilizing cross-functional teams.
- Warehousing or manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar warehouse management systems is an advantage.
