Metalis Engineering Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost plans and pricing, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing comprehensive cost estimates by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
  • Sourcing and obtaining quotations, negotiating the best possible price.
  • Processing incoming and outgoing tenders, reviewing information received, and ensuring all internal forms are completed and processed to a consistently high standard.
  • Monitoring and reviewing cost estimates throughout the project life cycle to ensure budgetary control.
  • Liaising with the Sales Team, Department Manager, production team, and client contact points to understand their needs and agree on the scope of work.
  • Preparing a design, costing, and accurate estimates for the Sales Team and Commercial and Technical Director.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator with a specialization in joinery and/or construction.
  • Strong understanding of joinery/construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Excel and estimating software.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Working Conditions:

  • £35,000 (dependent on experience).
  • Days, Monday to Friday.
  • Permanent Opportunity.
