About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Courier Driver to join our team at EMED Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out courier journeys to various locations and adhere to agreed routes and timings.
  • Complete digital and manual documentation required by legislation and organisational procedures.
  • Maintain regular contact with the operations office using a range of communication systems.
  • Ensure all items are kept safe and secure.
  • Comply with the Road Traffic Act while driving and other relevant legislation connected to the vehicle.
  • Act as customer contact at delivery points of service and relay relevant information to the operations office.
  • Complete vehicle checks prior to use and notify any defects to the Operations Office verbally and by recording on appropriate documentation.
  • Act in a polite and courteous manner to customers and road users.
Requirements
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to plan routes effectively.
  • Must be a good communicator.
  • Customer focused.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Must be able to use a PDA (training will be provided).
  • Good/Clear handwriting.
