We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe storage, handling, and maintenance of our equipment and inventory.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean, prepare, and test equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Manage cables, including testing, cleaning, recoiling, and storing, to prevent damage and ensure efficient use.
- Report any damages to equipment upon return from projects to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure equipment is correctly stored and labelled to prevent loss or damage.
- Conduct in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT) to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Create new cables and perform maintenance and repairs as required to maintain equipment in good working condition.
- Communicate stock shortages to the team to ensure timely restocking and minimize disruptions.
- Engage in forklift driving and stock control to maintain a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the team.
- Understanding of electrical wiring regulations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Experience with PAT, soldering, and reading electrical diagrams to perform maintenance and repairs.
- A proactive "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn to adapt to changing warehouse operations.
- Excellent attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records and prevent errors.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver great results in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
