Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Story Producer to join our dynamic team at ITV. As a Story Producer, you will be responsible for managing a team of storyliners, assistant storyliners, and story editor(s). You will set the agenda for monthly story conferences, oversee writing and editing of story documents, and collaborate with the producer on commissioning and script editing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of storyliners, assistant storyliners, and story editor(s) to ensure the production of high-quality storylines.
  • Set the agenda for monthly story conferences to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Oversee the writing and editing of story documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the producer on commissioning and script editing to ensure that storylines meet the company's standards.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's brand and values to ensure that storylines align with the company's mission.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in scripted drama production.
  • Experience as a Story Producer or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Continuing Drama production.
  • Knowledge of television production processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated creativity, editorial judgment, and ability to work in a high-pressure TV environment.
  • Clear and authoritative communication, numeracy, and negotiation skills.
  • Drive, commitment, and enthusiasm to deliver high-quality results.
  • Editorial eye and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Effective time management and team motivation and leadership skills.
