About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Planner to join our team at Dar Group. As an Urban Planner, you will be responsible for leading and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating the inputs of urban planners, designers, economists, engineers, and landscape architects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead or collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating the inputs of urban planners, designers, economists, engineers, and landscape architects.
- Strategic Planning: Develop strategic, design-led spatial masterplans, from regional to site-specific levels, and contribute to policy studies.
- Project Management: Manage international projects, liaising with our global offices, and ensuring seamless execution.
- High-Quality Deliverables: Contribute to and oversee the production of top-tier reports, presentations, and drawings, ensuring timely submission.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients through presentations, meetings, and workshops, delivering insights and solutions.
- Tender and Proposal Management: Prepare and manage tenders and project proposals with precision.
- Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior staff, including urban planners, designers, and interns.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of all reports and documents.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree and a postgraduate degree/diploma in Urban Planning from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience for senior roles, or 3 to 6 years for less senior positions.
- Exceptional planning, presentation, and teamwork skills, with a proactive and motivated approach.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in urban planning, design, and sustainable development.
- Previous experience in the Gulf States and Middle East is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Portuguese or another second language is a significant advantage.
- Flexibility to travel overseas on short notice.
